If that runs well, you can be pretty sure that the folders with ! in the name not belong to Liquid and can be deleted. rename the folders you want to delete, to something like "!Utilities". If you look for the creation/edit date, there might be a clue which belongs to MC. Some with Liquid in the name, others not. The suggestions some of us made, are correct. I don't know W7, but if you installed the trial through the "normal" installation process, the MC programs should be there. Lots of users had to do this when they removed Studio from their PCs.īut the problem is that Media Composer is not listed in Programs and Features (Add / Remove Programs) in W7. After saving a copy just select "Fix all issues" Your PC should now not only be free of any unneeded entries, but should run faster.Įven if something goes wrong with Liquid you can always install it over it's self again. When the search is finished you have the choice of making a copy of the registry before changes are made. It will find just about every "skeleton" in the registry that isn't conected to anything. Don't be surprised if it takes a while to finish the search and list the items for deletion. Let it search your registry for any enteries not being used anymore. The second method is to get a registry cleaner, I use Ccleaner - it's free and does a great job. Most Liquid entries are listed under Pinnacle. This will take you to the first instance of any avid entry, If the word Liquid appears anywhere in the left or right screen press the F3 key to search for the next instance, and only remove those entries having to do with Avid. In the registry under Find enter "Avid" - including the marks (this avoids entries with david etc being searched for).
